Comprehensive representation for cases involving pendente lite support and custody, alimony and spousal support, child support, custody, equitable distribution of assets and liabilities, preparation of marital settlement agreements, consent orders and post judgment issues including preparation of deeds and qualified domestic relation orders.

Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution

The lawyers at Ulrichsen Rosen & Freed possess the experience, knowledge and training to help you reach a resolution through litigation or alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation, arbitration and collaborative law. The approach to a client’s family law needs will be determined by their individual legal situation, family dynamics and goals. The approach will be specifically tailored to a client’s needs and circumstances.

Child Support

For many families, child support obligations can often be determined by applying the New Jersey Child Support Guidelines. High-income families, however, may face particular challenges in setting  child support as the New Jersey Child Support Guidelines become inapplicable. Additional issues may arise where parties are self-employed or earn income outside of a W-2.

Alimony & Spousal Support

Alimony causes tension in many divorces, but the issues may vary widely between high-income and median-income couples. Median-income couples may negotiate alimony with the intent of helping the lower-earning spouse pay basic living expenses.
